A one-stop blog for corporate event styling

That’s why we have decided to create a one-stop blog to break down all aspects of corporate event styling and look closer at the pros and cons of using a one-stop shop for your corporate event needs. As we like to say, we provide the whole kit and caboodle!

Let’s start with corporate furniture hire; chair and table hire is the basics, I mean let’s face it, you can’t have an event without somewhere to sit, rest or eat. There is a huge range of furniture out there to choose from and it all depends on the type of event you are hosting as to which you choose from. Chiavari chairs are perfect for any corporate dinner or awards ceremony, no matter on the time of the year or theme there is a Chiavari chair perfect for you. The ice Chiavari chair makes a wonderful addition to create a magical winter wonderland theme, or if you’re looking for something more uniform and simple, why not try a black Chiavari? Although a lime wash Chiavari is often associated with weddings, they are very versatile; if you’re having an outdoor meeting or corporate breakfast, these chairs are a beautiful addition.

Now what about those seating alternatives? Perhaps you’re not holding a seated dinner? For receptions and bowl food events, then sofa hire and soft seating would work perfectly! You can use soft seating to make your guests feel comfortable and relaxed; in place of the traditional banqueting chair this form of seating is sometimes favoured as more and more corporate companies are using soft seating at their events.

When I say table hire most people think of trestle tables or round tables but what about coffee tables and poseur tables? Most venues supply banqueting tables. In fact unless they are public spaces, all venues have tables included in their package; we want to focus on the other event spaces you want your guests to use. Coffee tables are an important aspect of a soft seating area; you need to provide guests with somewhere to place drinks or food on whilst they relax and mingle with other guests. You could also use coffee tables to add additional corporate styling by using leaflets, business cards or perhaps even use some artificial flowers for as an extra touch. Poseur tables are useful to not only give your guests somewhere to converse but they can also be great at displaying items of interest or using poseur table décor to enforce a theme. For example, in the past we have made smaller versions of table centrepieces so the theme flows throughout the event and the space.

If you have read any of our previous blogs you would know that corporate event styling has really been evolving in the past few years. Corporate events are no longer uniform and simple; more event planners are using the extra special touches to really create something memorable. We have seen a huge increase in artificial flower arrangements being used for corporate event styling. So how can you use them in your corporate event? Keeping to a colour theme such as corporate branding colours and placing them in arrangements that link to the company’s business or ethos is a favourite. For example, using scientific measuring jugs with flowers in

for a company that’s business is based around scientific research would be a perfect way to include artificial flowers.

You can also use votive, tea lights, candles and lanterns to make event spaces look amazing! You don’t need to place them everywhere but they are often used in corporate event styling to light up steps or are used to make a grand entrance into the event. Much like flowers, votives tend to be the same colours as the branding and can be so versatile. You can place them on their own, as part of a corporate centrepiece, on your poseur tables or anywhere you wish.

There are many benefits to using a ‘one-stop shop’ for your corporate event styling, so let’s look at some of them,

  1. You only have to deal with one person. As we all know the corporate world is fast paced and most events don’t get a long lead time on them, so speaking with one person who understands all of your needs and can offer you everything is one place saves time and stress.
  2. You don’t need to spend time on site co-ordinating everything. If you use one supplier this should all be discussed beforehand, perhaps with a site visit, so there are not three or four suppliers on site needing your assistance.
  3. Many venues have strict rules and restrictions for deliveries and set-ups, so you will only need to relay this with one company and you will not have to schedule a lot of deliveries.
  4. The cost can be cheaper. Think about the amount of delivery and collection costs you will have to pay! Using one company means only one cost for everything, including set-up.
